A personal perspective
I have always been fascinated by the idea of dismantling characters who, at first glance, seem untouchable — people surrounded by wealth, privilege and a world that appears to protect them from consequences. The story for Sweet Home was written together with my girlfriend Isabelle in just two days while we were in Thailand. What started as an idea quickly turned into a film project. Isabelle made it possible for us to find and organize a location that was absolutely perfect for the story — and, most importantly, made it possible for me to shoot there. Sometimes the right story, the right place and the right moment simply come together. Sweet Home was one of those moments.
